It was interesting that District Attorney John Sarsfield chose
to respond to the Conroy issue, what with all the other things he
has been accused of in the last month.
It’s ironic that Sarsfield, who was caught lying to the judges,
defense attorneys, the media and the public about being ordered by
the Attorney General’s Office, would accuse the anonymous writer to
the Citizens Voice of lying. Being the brilliant legal mind that he
is, he no doubt went to the law books and came up with the

liar, liar, pants on fire

defense.
In his letter to the editor, he states,

Once a person has been convicted and sentenced, there is no
longer any involvement by the District Attorney’s Office.

If that is true, then why did he state,

I had one of my deputies contact the Attorney General’s Office
to handle any final stages of the matter.

Also, if that is true that the District Attorney’s Office is no
longer involved in a case once the defendant has been convicted and
sentenced as he says, why is he going after the alleged sixty Brady
violations?

“As long as we have a Police Department that is not doing parking and traffic control we will continue to have issues.

If you have ever tried to park downtown during the day, you would understand why we need someone writing parking tickets.

So many businesses allow their employees to park in the street, due to inadequate parking for their employees, that it’s almost impossible to find a parking spot on Fifth Street ever. This is why the city constructed a parking structure; too bad people are too lazy to use it.

We have some residents that really have some bad driving habits and they will continue to have those bad driving habits until something is done.

I have never seen a city that is run without traffic control and budget cuts are not an excuse because the Police Department has never done a very good job controlling traffic.

We need to use the radar and not just post a sign saying that it is radar enforced. I think the drivers have already figured out that it is a free for all on our city streets.

Also, the reason that we have dangerous intersections is not always the intersection but bad driving habits.

Some enforcement please!”

“I am writing about the problem with all of the emergency sirens. Every time they sound, every dog in my neighborhood goes crazy and starts howling. Why can’t we buy emergency sirens that won’t set off every dog in town?

And speaking of howling, how much longer are you going to subject the readers of this paper to the almost daily rabid howlings of Mr. Kiefert and Mr. Cantu? Enough already. Those two need to get a life.

If only we could harness all of their hot air and gas and use it as a “green” energy source. I bet it could power all of San Juan Bautista!”

“So, now we know that Mr. Sarsfield reads the Citizens Voice.

Mr. Sarsfield, I ask you again, are you going to look into all of the cases Sheriff Hill has been material to since charges were filed against him?”

“If Arnold wanted to be governor so badly, why didn’t he run for the job last November in the real election, but then maybe he doesn’t like real elections.”
