I would like to contribute my anonymous ideas to all the things
that have been going on concerning the DA’s office. First of all, I
want to say that I think it is a person’s right on whether or not
they want to sign their name and in this county, especially if you
want to keep your job and not get harassed, it is better to be
anonymous then to put up with all the things you would have to if
you printed your name.
“I would like to contribute my anonymous ideas to all the things that have been going on concerning the DA’s office. First of all, I want to say that I think it is a person’s right on whether or not they want to sign their name and in this county, especially if you want to keep your job and not get harassed, it is better to be anonymous then to put up with all the things you would have to if you printed your name.

I think that the current DA and his ‘assistant’ are not taking their jobs seriously because they continue to meet at the same place every day and carry on as if they don’t have a care at all. I also would like someone to find out how many hours a day an elected official needs to show up at their job and still be able to get a full paycheck each and every month. I think it’s ridiculous and an abuse of power that the current Board of Supervisors are completely ignoring the fact that our current DA is not even putting in his 40 hours per week. I’m sure his employees (the ones who are actually doing all the work and keeping his office running day to day) have to put in their 40 hours per week in order to get their paycheck every month. Imagine if one of his employees decided that they want to come in and work only three to four hours per day and then leave. Boy, that person would get written up in a heartbeat and would probably lose their job within a few weeks.

And just one more little note: Mr. Kiefert, I really admire the fact that you are not afraid of saying what is on your mind and signing your name and people should realize that everything you have said so far in regards to this issue is true. They can cry all they want, but sooner of later they will realize you speak only the truth and if they can’t handle the truth about Mr. Sarsfield, then they should read something else.”

“The root evils of the community are the greedy liars sending their concocted lies to this column. Stop and think a moment, people. San Benito Tire is accused of not replacing parts and tires often enough. A true crime would be replacing parts that don’t need replaced. Who is watching out for whom? Mr. Pekin, do us a favor and chase your ambulances in Salinas.

Oh, it’s too late. You already represent a bunch of liars and thugs, the Los Greedy group. Hey, ask the group if rapid growth was the answer to all our problems, why wouldn’t this place be like paradise after 20 years of being the fastest growing place in the state?

The conspiracy to destroy Scagliotti is misplaced. The supervisor is representing the people. The people want the runaway growth to stop. Why don’t the brave ones go after the people that gave away all our roads, sewers, water and everything? Now we are being asked to pay double for our sewers. What else will we have to pay for twice?

Los Valientes are terrorists just trying to put fear into these supervisors that represent the people.”

“That certain flower that is commonly known to have many thorns is better known in San Benito County as Mandy Rose. It also appears that taxpayers’ dollars, by virtue of county payroll time, county telephones and use of a county vehicle, are regularly used to conduct non-county business! Examples are the preparation work and the signature gathering efforts to qualify that much aligned initiative now known as ‘Measure G.’ Shame, shame!”

“I live in the 800 block of Powell Street. As one citizen has been writing, my mulberry trees haven’t seen a city tree pruning crew for years. In fact, my trees are so out of control, the street sweeper can’t sweep the street as the limbs are too low. The limbs are also so high and wide they are touching the roof of my house.

I called City Hall to ask if the fee for street sweeping services could be deducted from my utility bill. After all, why pay for a service I’m not receiving due to obvious neglect directly from the city’s tree maintenance crew. My request fell on deaf ears. Perhaps they will respond to a lawsuit, ya think?”
