“Just goes to show, it’s easier not to get involved. Mark Smith did the right thing by stopping to help the nut who rolled a car on Highway 25, but in the end, Mark paid for it. While he was looking for other people in the car, the driver stole his truck.

Mark, we hope you get your truck back, and if we are ever in an accident, we hope you and your kind are nearby.”

“After all these years, Don Christopher finally lost in his effort to stop Chinese exports of garlic. Something must be done at the national level, or all our food will be coming from parts overseas.”

“I hope that whatever showed up at the lot next to Albertson’s has the proper permits and no complaints against it for cruelity to animals.

We all know that these small operations can be very cruel to animals and not take proper care of them. I only hope for their sake, the animals are properly cared for, not mistreated and loved. But, being where they are, I hardly expect them to receive much love or for that matter caring.

Why would the City of Hollister allow such a thing to take place in our wonderful town?”

“How many of you seniors who rely on maybe $700 per month Social Security to live on will receive a tax-rebate check?

We seniors, the backbone of our country who have paid our debt to society, will receive a kick in our teeth for our efforts.

Children should not be used as tax credits and this whole concept should be removed from income tax returns.

Seniors on fixed incomes should be benefitting from these rebates, not families already making a healthy living. As the saying goes, ‘If you can’t feed ’em don’t breed ’em.”
