Why do people speed on Chappell and Cienega roads? They’re going
at least 30 miles over the speed limit. It’s very dangerous,
especially on Chappell because of kids. I wish the police could get
the radar guns out on these two hot spots for speeding.
There is also too much trash being tossed on those two streets.
Plus, the trash on Gibbs off McCray is disgusting. Throw the trash
in the trash bin where it belongs.
Finally, people need to do a better job of stopping at stop
signs. They speed into the stop and I don’t know if they are going
to stop or not. Sometimes, they go right through the stop sign
about eight yards then stop. People, you’re not going anywhere.
Stop properly at stop signs.

“I have just three words to say to, Mr. Domingues, Mr. Bernosky, Mr. Foley and Sgt. Gonzales, ‘Cowboy-up fellows.’

Mr. Domingues wants to know if the writers have axes to grind or conflicts of interest. What does it matter if it’s the truth? This is not a court of law, but the court of public opinion.

You’d rather kill the messenger than address the real problems that may be covered up or spun by our elected officials and their henchmen.

As long as the Citizens Voice is open for business, the politicians and their minions are not going to be able to spin the truth and hopefully will think twice before actually lying to us in the future.”

“Judge throws out Rojas murder confession,” this is truly a sad day.

Attorney Bud Landreth was very diplomatic when he said he commended the officer’s candor on the stand. Bud was a little more candid himself last night on Channel 8 when he said it was, ‘poor police work.’

In spite of what DDA Wagner says about his ‘mantra and mindset,’ I predict Landreth is going to get a very sweet deal for his alleged killer from the DA. Mark my words.”

“Hey Free Lance Citizens Voice … Way to go!!!!!

I used to think that if a person had an opinion and wasn’t willing to put their name to it, it was probably a weak opinion. I have now come to the conclusion that I was very wrong.

Anonymous opinions seem to lessen the amount of guff a person might otherwise get if he/she stated them aloud.

Hey, this is a free country we have here, and when a person makes a statement anonymously or not should never put that person in a position to have to defend themselves.

I base many of my opinions through past experiences or what I may believe to be fact. I do expect a difference in opinion and that person(s) may voice theirs, also. This by no means needs to lead to heated arguments or worse. I have been known to see the light and have changed my opinion on certain issues and expect to change other people’s just as many times.

I, for one, do not feel that if a person doesn’t agree with my opinion that he/she is wrong. They may know more or less about a subject and arrived at a different conclusion is all. One thing always remains the same, EVERYONE HAS AN OPINION and the FREE LANCE is providing a great platform to VOICE them. Thanks.”
