Hollister City Council members Monday are set to consider funding for improvements to Valley View Park, a new school resource officer, tourism efforts overseen by the chamber and recruitment of four top officials.
Council members are set to meet at 6:30 p.m. Monday at Hollister City Hall, 375 Fifth St.
On the agenda, the council will consider $150,000 in improvements to Valley View Park (otherwise known as Whale Park); about $18,000 toward a new school officer; $50,000 to the San Benito County Chamber of Commerce & Visitors Bureau for tourism efforts; and $59,500 to Bob Murray & Associates for recruitment of a new fire chief, city clerk, development services manager and human resources manager.
City officials also will discuss progress at Las Brisas Park, one of several where improvements are under way.
