launch of its 11th annual Habitat for Humanity fundraising
campaign.

Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage Community Foundation, the philanthropic arm of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage, the Bay Area’s largest real estate services company, announced Aug. 4 the launch of its 11th annual Habitat for Humanity fundraising campaign.
The major event of this year’s fundraising effort will once again be a Habitat for Humanity raffle, which kicks off today. Last year’s fundraising campaign raised $167,000, enough to help build 77 homes for low-income families. Organizers of this year’s campaign, dubbed “Building Hope for Humanity,” have set a goal of raising $341,400 and sales associates are encouraged to sell 50 tickets at $2 a piece. Funds will also be raised by fundraisers held by individual Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage offices throughout Northern California.
Over the past ten years, the Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage Community Foundation has been the leading corporate sponsor of Habitat for Humanity, raising $1.9 million through the efforts of its sales associates, managers, staff and clients in Northern California. The Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage team has also participated in the construction of 95 Habitat for Humanity homes built over more than volunteer 41,700 hours.
“Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage is entering its eleventh year helping to raise funds for Habitat for Humanity,” said Rick Turley, president of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage in the San Francisco Bay Area, in a press release. “Looking back at all we have accomplished over the past decade, I’m proud to see how our agents, staff and clients have come together to help so many families accomplish their dream of homeownership. It couldn’t have been done without the hard work and generosity of our team.”
Turley said Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage agents and staff believe deeply in the mission of Habitat for Humanity.
“We’ve seen a difficult couple years for individuals in the communities in which we live and work,” he said. “Using our strong network to help an organization like Habitat for Humanity, not only helps our neighbors now, but gives them the opportunity to build a better future.”
The raffle runs through Sept. 25, in all 61 Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage offices throughout Northern California. Tickets are $2 each and the public is invited to participate. Checks should be made payable to Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage Community Foundation. All monies raised through the raffle will be donated to local Habitat for Humanity chapters for homes to be built in 2010.
Prizes for the raffle include $5,000 donated by Princeton Capital, two round trip tickets provided by Southwest Airlines, hotel stays at the Sanctuary Camelback Mountain Resort & Spa in Arizona, Monterey Plaza Hotel, and much more.
