Police on Monday arrested a Hollister couple suspected of possessing methamphetamine and other drugs that had been accessible to children in their home, according to a statement from the Hollister Police Department.
Police arrested Angela Gonzalez and Johnathan Hannagan on suspicion of drug, child endangerment and domestic violence charges.
According to the police statement:
While working an Office of Traffic Safety Grant for warrant service, Hollister Police Lt. Eric Olson and Officer Bill Hutchinson contacted two subjects at the 100 block of East Park Street.
Officers contacted Angela Gonzalez due to a known outstanding warrant for her arrest and Johnathan Hannagan for a known domestic violence charge. While conducting a search of Gonzalez’s and Hannagan’s apartment, officers found a large amount of marijuana, items used in the manufacturing of hashish oil, multiple marijuana smoking pipes, methamphetamine pipes, and prescription medication without a prescription. These items were accessible to the children that were living in the apartment.
Gonzalez was booked for an outstanding warrant, manufacturing hashish oil, possession of drug paraphernalia, child endangerment, and possessing prescription medication without a prescription. Gonzalez is being held on a $176,000 bail.
Hannagan was booked for domestic battery, violation of a restraining order, manufacturing hashish oil, possession of drug paraphernalia, and child endangerment. Hannagan is being held on a $212,000 bail.
