Construction work is set to start Saturday on a one-mile stretch along San Felipe Road in Hollister, according to Caltrans.
It is a curb modification project along the route at Maple, First, Second and Park streets, according to an announcement from the state agency.
Roadwork will include shoulder closures for about two weeks with minimal delays, if any, expected. The work is expected to be finished March 1, weather permitting.
The purpose of the project is to comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act as the state relinquishes the road to the city in exchange, eventually, for the Highway 25 bypass.
Watsonville-based Graniterock Pavex Construction Co. is doing the work for $50,000.
