Steve Delay will retain his seat on the San Benito High School District board.

With most ballots counted, Delay held an insurmountable lead with 49.5 percent of the vote – ahead of opponents Jennifer Coile who had 35.7 percent and Victor Anyeneh who had 13.9 percent, according to preliminary results.

Delay was appointed to finish out a term as a school trustee last spring when another trustee resigned from the position.
