Diane Cecile Neely Guthery October 10, 1943 – August 15, 2013

Private services and burial are being held at San Joaquin Valley National Cemetery, in Santa Nella, CA. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Susan G.  Diane Cecile Neely Guthery, 69, passed away August 15, 2013, at her home in Hollister, CA.
 Diane was born in Dallas, Texas to Sue Neely Krutz and William Henry Neely on October 10, 1943. She went to high school at Hillcrest High School and graduated in 1961. She went on to earn a degree in Education from the University of Texas at Austin and was an active member in Delta Gamma.
 She taught gifted children while working on Honolulu, HI, where she met and later married her husband, David Leif Guthery from LaRue, OH, on December 29, 1966, in Dallas.
 They resided most of their married life in Los Altos, CA, and retired to Ridgemark in Hollister, CA in 2000. She was an avid golfer and a member of the California Golf Club in South San Francisco and Ridgemark Golf and Country Club in Hollister, but most of all enjoyed spending time with her friends and family.
 Her family wrote: “Diane’s generosity, kind heart, sense of humor and dedication to her friends and family was an inspiration to all. She lived her life to make people laugh.”
 Diane is preceded in death by her father, William and brother David Richards Neely.
 Diane is survived by her mother and step-father Sue and Fredrick Krutz of Los Altos: husband, David Leif of Hollister; son and daughter-in-law William and Anna Guthery and daughter and son-in-law Neely and Jeremy Cormier; four grandchildren Hailey and David Guthery and Caden and Brooklyn Cormier of Sunnyvale.
