A woman who spent the first 100 years of her life in her hometown of has died at the age of 107.
Elsie Koopmann White was born into a member of a pioneering San Ramon Valley family. She died on Aug. 8. She spent her first hundred years in Dublin, Calif. before moving in with a granddaughter in Los Banos seven years ago.
White lived a life of hard work, nurturing and humor, family members said. She raised her three young daughters herself after her husband left, selling eggs, cured meats and homemade preserves.
Some 50 family members and friends attended White’s burial Friday at the historic Dublin cemetery.
