Earthquake Country Bike Ride:
The Hollister Lions Club is inviting residents to participate in the Seventh Annual Earthquake Country Bike Ride on Saturday. The bike ride, which starts at Bolado Park, is divided into four routes. There is a 100-mile route; a 100-kilometer ride; a 40-mile route; and a less demanding 20-mile family ride. Registration for the bike ride is $30 per person or $50 a family. The cost of registration entitles riders to pre-ride snacks and juice, or water and to use of rest stops set up all along the routes. The rest stops will also be stocked with water, juice and something for riders to snack on. The ride starts officially at 7 a.m. on Saturday for more information or to register, call (831) 628-3010.
Jovenes Garage Sale:
Jovenes de Antano wil hold a garage sale on Friday from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 300 West St. Proceeds from the garage sale will go to benefit senior center programs.
Etching exhibit in San Juan:
Multiple plate etching from contemporary printmakers Venancio Arribas and Marga Herrera Portal, both of Madrid will be on display at the Misson Gallery on 106 Third St. The exhibit will be on display through Saturday. For information, call 623-2960.
Summer Theater Camp:
The San Benito Stage Company will host a Children’s Summer Theater Camp June 23 to 27 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Youth from 6 to 12 years old participate in in workshops on vocal, dance, acting, improvisation, auditioning, team building and other talents.

Oriana Sings Broadway:
The Oriana Chorale will perform a series of popular Broadway tunes in two special local concerts on July 9 at the San Juan Oaks Country Club, and July 12 at the mission San Juan Bautista. Both concerts will be at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $12 adults, $7 teens, and children 12 and younger are free.
Relay for Life Parking Lot Sale:

Monterey Jazz Festival Tickets on sale:
Tickets for the 46th Annual Monterey Jazz Festival are on sale and going fast. Tickets for the jazz festival which will be from Sept. 19 to 21, run from $25 for Ground tickets, which provide access to five stages of continuous music, to $155 for an Arena package which provides reserved seating for the main stage concerts, all other concert stages set up throughout the Monterey County Fairgrounds and the jazz theater.
