The San Benito County Fair (September 30 – October 2, 2011) is just around the corner. The 88th Annual “Red, White & Moo” themed Fair honors the county’s agricultural heritage, and is a time-honored tradition for many San Benito County are families.
The due date for entries is Sept. 2 for most divisions. Residents can show of their creative talents with such categories as homemade cake, jam or cupcake, as well as a variety of artwork and livestock. The Fair Entry Premium Book explains the complete ins-and-outs of exhibiting at the San Benito County Fair, and is available online at www.sanbenitocountyfair.com, and at the Fair administration office.
For further savings, discounted Fair admission for all three days must be purchased prior to the fair beginning Sept. 1. A $15 Family Four-Pack includes admission and parking for two adults and two children, on the day you choose to redeem it. Pre-Sale Carnival Passes are available for $15 also, which provides for an unlimited ride wristband on Friday ONLY, or can be redeemed Saturday or Sunday for one book of tickets. Sept. 30 is Kids Free Day (children 12 and under), and Oct. 2 offers a Seniors (60 and over) admission price of $4. Tickets are available beginning Sept. 1 at Ace Hardware, Rancher’s Feed, Postal Graphics or the Chamber of Commerce in Hollister, Boot Barn in San Martin, L.A. Hearne in Prunedale, or the Fair Office.
