Business After Hours event

Open mic night

An open mic night will be held at the Blak Sage Gallery, 727 San Benito St., in Hollister, March 11, at 7 p.m. Everyone is welcome to participate or listen to others perform poetry, music of song. Fashion Show Luncheon

The Native Daughters of the Golden West will host a Fashion Show luncheon March 12, at the Adobe Home, 203 Fourth St., in San Juan Bautista. The social begins at 11:30 a.m., with lunch at noon, followed by the fashion show. A donation of $15 per person will go toward a new roof for the adobe. Khris Francis dinner and comedy show

Comedian Khris Francis will perform a dinner and comedy show benefit for Relay for Life, March 12, at the Vault restaurant, 452 San Benito St., in Hollister. Tickets are $45 each and the event includes a silent auction. No host bar starts at 6 p.m, with dinner starting at 7 p.m. Guests must be 21 and over. Tickets are available at Prudential Insurance, 899 San Benito St., The Locker Room, 441 San Benito St., and at Wright Bros Industrial, 1745 San Felipe Road.

Shamrock Scrambles Golf tournament and dinner

The Bolado Park Golf Club Benefit Shamrock Scrambles Golf Tournament and Corned beef and cabbage luncheon is March 12, with a 8 a.m. sign in and 9 a.m. tee off. The tournament is a four-person team scramble format for $60 per person, which includes, green fee, cart rental and corned beef and cabbage lunch. Those interested can register at the Bolado Park Golf Course. It is limited to 72 players. A closest to the hole contest and mulligans will also be on sale. Lunch is served from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 a.m., and lunch tickets can be purchased for $10 per person for those not participating in the tournament. Tickets may be purchased at the Bolado Park Golf Course, The Inn at Tres Pinos, McKinnon Lumber Company, Muenzer’s Cyclery and Timber and Textiles. Sean Dempsey will provide bagpipe entertainment. The ghosts of the Bandidos

Local historian Ray Iddings will lead a tour of the New Idria and Panoche area that the legendary bandit Tiburcio Vasquez called home March 12. In the evening there will be a special program around the campfire that features western singer Dave Stamey. The cost is $120 for the full event, which includes the tour and evening program, overnight camping and breakfast at Mercy Hot Springs. The one-day tour is $100 or the evening barbecue dinner is $25. El Teatro presents one-acts

El Teatro Campesino will present two one-act comedies, “Simply Maria, or the American Dream” and “Food for the Dead,” by Josefina Lopez (author of “Real Women Have Curves.”) The show runs through April 3, with performances at 8 p.m. Thursday through Saturday, at 2 p.m. on Sundays, at 705 Fourth St., in San Juan Bautista. Tickets are $12 in advance or $15 on the day of the show for general admission. Students are $10. Opening weekend and bargain Thursday evening shows are $8. Art 103 Exhibition

San Benito High School students will have their artwork on display at Blak Sage Gallery, March 1-13. The show, Art 103 Exhibition, will be led by art instructor John W. Robrock. The gallery is open Tuesday through Sunday, from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.

Jelly Belly RV visits

The Jelly Belly RV will visit Casa de Fruta, March 11, from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. Samples of Jelly Belly Cold Stone Ice Cream Parlor Mix, Sunkist Citrus Mix, Superfruit Mix, Sunkist Fruit Gems, BeanBoozled and Dips will be given out during the event.
