HDA seeks donors to offset costs for downtown hanging flower baskets
The Hollister Downtown Association is seeking sponsors to help offset costs associated with the hanging flower baskets that were installed last year.
Sixteen pairs of flower baskets have been blooming since last summer on lamp posts throughout downtown and have “sparked many conversations and phone calls to the office with positive feedback,” according to the HDA.
The goal now is to seek $200 sponsors for each pair of baskets to help “maintain this extra dimension to the downtown experience,” a flyer promoting the program said.
Sponsors will choose one of the basket locations along San Benito Street and be recognized with a plaque installed on the corresponding lamp post. Sponsors will also be listed on the website and recognized in the HDA newsletter with a brief article about their business or organization.
After the first year’s sponsorship, enrollment for subsequent years will be $100. Sponsorships can also be done in memory of someone.
