Gavilan College presented a record number of degrees and certificates May 27 at the 91st Annual Commencement Ceremony at Bud Ottmar Memorial Gymnasium. A total of 548 degrees and certificates were given out. The graduating class included the first Dr. TJ Owens Gilroy Early College Academy students to graduate. There were eight new members of the Rho Alpha Mu honor society. The keynote address was given by alumnus Darren Thompson, Sheriff of San Benito County. Laura Perry, president of the Gavilan College Board of Trustees, presented an honorary degree to Elvira Robinson.
