It was just a matter of time before some spineless creature slithered out from the pond of depravity to personally attack me, and in what forum? In the Citizens Voice. Since I don’t know if this invertebrate is a he or she, I will refer to it as a “wart.”

I will try to keep this as short as possible since someone will have to take the time to explain to the wart what I am saying by getting the facts straight.

J.J. Vogel or I have never run for the Board of Supervisors. In fact, I don’t think Eva has ever run for an elected office. Being J.J., Eva or myself have never been elected officials, we are not the blame for the millions of dollars in lawsuits against the city and the building moratorium imposed by the State.

However, the wart did get one thing right. Since homeowners were never able to get one iota of satisfaction from city officials, J.J. formed a watchdog group to monitor the shoddy home building and lack of proper inspections by the city. Due to J.J.’s persistence and court actions, millions of dollars of builder money were paid back to homeowners due to shoddy construction.

The wart’s description of my home is pretty good and the only blinds I have are on our bedroom windows. So, when the wart isn’t writing hate letters, the wart must be a peeping Tom on the side.

When I awoke this morning, I was still in the U.S.A. You know, still somewhat free and able to enjoy the First Amendment (for the wart, that’s freedom of speech). Yes, as a taxpayer, I have been critical, and I am proud of my letters to newspapers. I have never written of anyone on a personal basis. I have only been a critic of their job performance or what they represent. And, if the wart had ever been observant, the wart would know I have also applauded most of these same people for their proper stand on issues.

I will celebrate the day when the wart and those like it are able to stand and walk erect without dragging their knuckles on the ground to become a member of the human race by signing their name to beliefs they put on paper.
