H. Wayne Herzog died Saturday, Jan. 3 at Hazel Hawkins Hospital.

H. Wayne Herzog died Saturday, Jan. 3 at Hazel Hawkins Hospital. He was 60.

He was born in Dearborn, Mich. He held an associate’s degree from Gavilan College and worked for IBM for 28 years.

He served his country faithfully in the Navy from 1961 to 1964.

He was also very involved in the American Red Cross.

He and his wife Rosanne were married in 1964 in Campbell, Calif. He had been a resident of San Juan Bautista since 1976.

He is survived by his wife Rosanne Herzog of San Juan Bautista; his children and their spouses, David and Deanna Harzog of Ventura, Suzanne and Jon Medina of Filmore, Daniel Herzog of Filmore, Donald Herzog of Filmore and Christopher Herzog of San Juan Bautista; brother William Herzog of Rogue River, Ore.; and two grandchildren, Chelsea and Tyler Herzog, both of Ventura.

He was preceded in death by his daughter Sandra Herzog, who died in 1987.

Arrangements for cremation are through Black Cooper Sander Funeral Home and Gavilan Hills Crematory.

Private interment will follow cremation at San Joaquin Valley National Cemetery in Santa Nella.
