Hollister council OKs $19.5m general fund budget

Hollister council members Monday approved a budget with $19.5 million in general fund expenses.
The 2015-16 budget takes effect July 1.
Council members before making their final vote discussed such issues as possible contributions to the library and nonprofits, and how much officials should spend paying down pension debt.
Council members approved the budget in a 4-1 vote, with Councilman Karson Klauer against it.
