– Daphne’s Headcovers, an animal-oriented golf club headcover
company, recently revealed details of new products to be introduced
at the 2008 PGA Merchandise Show, Jan. 16-19, at the Orange County
Convention Center in Orlando, Fla.
Daphne’s Headcovers are carried by many touring professionals
including Ernie Els’ lion, Justin Leonard’s yellow lab, Aaron
Baddeley’s koala, Bubba Watson’s pink chimpanzee, Dottie Pepper’s
eagle, Laura Diaz’s golden retriever, Meg Mallon’s border collie,
Lorena Ochoa’s flag and, of course, a certain tiger headcover named
Frank.

Short on Type-O blood

HOLLISTER – The American Red Cross Northern California Blood Region is short on Type-O. All people can use Type-O negative blood and those with positive types can use Type-O positive.

American Red Cross staff have a blood drive the first Thursday of every month at the Latter Day Saints Church, 1670 Cienega Road from 1:30 p.m. to 6:30 pm. The next scheduled blood drive will be Jan. 3.

Blood drives are scheduled at the same location for Feb. 7, March 6, April 3, June 5, July 3, Aug. 7, Sept. 4, Oct. 2, Nov. 6 and Dec 4 for 2008.

SBC Republicans to meet

HOLLISTER – The San Benito County Republican Party has changed its monthly meeting date to the first Thursday of each month. The next meeting will be held on Jan. 3 at the Pacific Coast Bank Community Room, 260 Tres Pinos Road.
