Pedro Party

HOLLISTER – San Benito County Cattlewomen’s Annual Pedro Party will be on Friday, February 22 at 6 p.m. at the Tres Pinos Church Hall. Raffles, refreshments, prizes and more activities will be available.  For more info call Nada at 637-6351 or Liz at 277-5384.

Independent study program accepting applications

HOLLISTER – San Benito High School’s Independent Study program is now accepting applications for the fall 2008 semester. The program is geared for students whose needs may be best met through study outside the regular classroom setting. Each students meets once a week for a one-on-one meeting with a teacher, and may also participate in small group tutorial sessions.

Interested families may pick up an application at the Independent Study office in the high school’s administration building on Nash Road. For more information, call Linda Yetter at 637-5831 ext. 467.

Give Kids a Smile Day set

HOLLISTER – The San Benito Health Foundation’s dental department will hold its seventh annual Give Kids a Smile Day on Friday, Feb. 22 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Parents can bring their children ages 0-12 years for a free dental screening, and fun activities for children will be available, such as puppet shows, storytelling, coloring and more. A visit from the Tooth Fairy is also expected. The health foundation is located at 351 Felice Dr. For more information, call 637-5306.

SBHS Color Guard holds fundraiser

HOLLISTER – The San Benito High School Winter Color Guard will host a Papa Murphy’s Pizza Night fundraiser on Wednesday, Feb. 27. The guard will earn 20 percent of all money from regular-priced menu items purchased between 11 a.m. and 8 p.m. Tell employees to mark purchases as with the guard or present a flyer when making a purchase. Flyers are available at the band room.
