Subcontractors and suppliers interested in bidding to Kitchell,
the construction-manager-at-risk for the new Hollister Courthouse
Project, may attend an informational meeting March 19, from 1 p.m.
to 3 p.m. at the courtroom mock-up location at Fremont Way, in
Hollister.
The meeting will provide information on the prequalification and
bidding processes, timeline, scope, schedule and other specifics
and requirements. Prequalification will begin in late spring and
continue through the fall.

The meeting will provide information on the prequalification and bidding processes, timeline, scope, schedule and other specifics and requirements. Prequalification will begin in late spring and continue through the fall. Competitive bidding among prequalified contractors will take place in early 2011. Construction is scheduled to begin in Feb. 2011 and to be completed in fall 2012.
Fremont Way is an east-west from San Benito Street to Monterey Street, and interested parties can gather at the Monterey Street exit at 1 p.m.
Members of the Kitchell team will provide information and answer questions on the project scope, materials, finishes, systems, the project schedule, the prequalification process, local participation, bidding, incurance, bonds DVBE requirements and subcontracting with Kitchell.
As a construction-manager-at-risk under contract with the Administrative Office of the Courts for the new Hollister courthouse project, Kitchell is performing outreach to ensure that local subcontractors have the information needed to enable them to participate in the prequalification process for construction work on the $30 million project. The courthouse will be two-stories, with three courtrooms in 41,500 square feet.
