Itsuyo Ruth Inokuchi passed away Monday morning in Hollister at the age of 90. Born in Redondo Beach, California, she came to San Benito County in 1956. Ruth had been a farmer most of her life. She was a member of the Watsonville Buddhist Temple, J.A.C.L., in San Juan Bautista and the B.W.A. of Watsonville. She wasthe wife of the late Takeshi George Inokuchi who died in 1997, mother of Georgia Sakai, husband, George, of Morgan Hill, Aileen Kawasaki, husband, Kiyo, of Hollister and her late son, Tsutomu Dean Inokuchi, wife, Reiko, of Pleasant Hill, grandmother of Eugene Sakai of San Jose, Glen Inokuchi of Los Angeles, Clark Sakai of San Jose, Vicki Inokuchi of Pleasant Hill, Elvin Kawasaki of Los Angeles and Tim Kawasaki of Hollister. She was the sister of Fred Guro of Sacramento. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 28, 2007 at 1 P.M. in the chapel of GRUNNAGLE-AMENT-NELSON FUNERAL HOME, 870 San Benito St., Hollister. Private interment will be at Oak Hill Memorial Park, San Jose.
