Anyone who knew Joe and would like to honor his memory are welcome to join the family in a celebration of his life that will be held in early May.
Joseph August Money, known simply as “Grandpa Joe” to most, passed away on February 26, 2014.
Always one for a good card game, a politically incorrect joke and a corny Western movie, Joe will be remembered for his generous soul, his belief in hard work, his dedication to family and of course, his daily uniform of denim overalls and plaid shirts that let anyone he met know a pocket full of candy and a hug were right around the corner.
After spending parts of his life in California and Oregon, Joe settled in San Juan Bautista four years ago and spent his days helping on the family farm, taking money from his friends at his weekly Bingo games and flirting with any pretty woman he laid eyes on.
He will be sorely missed by his family and friends who are grateful that he took his time going, even if this time he won’t hurry back.
