Hollister resident
June Kirkish died Tuesday, Nov. 19, 2002 at Stanford Medical Center after a brief illness. She was 61.

Mrs. Kirkish was born in San Jose and had lived in Hollister for six years. She attended the University of Nevada, Las Vegas and had been a waitress at Golden Oak Restaurant in Morgan Hill for 14 years. She once worked in the entertainment industry for Minsky’s in Las Vegas.

She is survived by her husband of 22 years, Larry Kirkish of Hollister; her parents, Dorothy Spivey of Hollister and Allen Spivey of Las Vegas; and her sisters, Lynn Spivey of Hollister and Marlene Koumpan of Australia.

A memorial service was held Sunday at Golden Oak Restaurant in Morgan Hill. Cremation and interment have been held.
