To the Editor: My name is Keith Snow. I just want to say thank you to all my supporters and everyone who believed in me during this mayoral race. I appreciate you all from the bottom of my heart. I also want to thank all the sponsors that put on the debates, meet-the-candidates events and all the events that took place during this election. We appreciate your support as well.

Of course, there is always some kind of controversy and dirty politics—no one ever plays fair in this political world. I was called so many names, including a conspiracy theory. Wow. I feel I ran a good, fair race. I stayed under budget and still completed a well-rounded race. The hassle and runaround that they give me is every year. I only ran four times. I have to say this year was the worst of all. I kind of think they feel like the more they mess with me or give me a hard time, that they hope I will just quit! But, no, that only makes me want to try harder and fight stronger.

I may be disabled in the physical sense, but my heart and passion for what I believe in, you can never take that away from me. I will continue to help the people and stand up for what is right:  honesty, fairness, equality. As a community I hope that more people will continue to come together and speak out; use your voice and resources and we can and will make a difference. One day at a time. Never give up.

Things we will still have to deal with for who knows how much longer are all these contracts they keep getting into that we can’t afford for projects that never get done. Back-door deals. This is all truth and facts. Wasteful spending, uncontrolled crime, not enough help for the homeless—they only do what will benefit them for the moment. We need to think long-term what our city will be like in the future: overcrowded, not enough jobs and more homeless. Is this really what we must look forward to?

I’m also hurt that people would take my signs off people’s lawns and damage and destroy them. If you look at my page, you will see more facts and evidence. If these same people continue to be in charge, we will never see a change. It will always be the same. I thank the people for their insight and communicating with me, because they are the ones who notified me and helped me when these things were going on. I appreciate that.

There needs to be a positive change, especially for our children. They are the future and we need to do better for them; we need higher standards. I will always be a focused leader, in office or not. God bless.

(I am still waiting on all my public record requests from the city leaders and workers, for which I pay 10 cents a page.)
