The Hollister Kiwanis Club is inviting pasta lovers to its annual Big Benefit Pasta Dinner tonight at the Bertha Briggs Youth Center, 1221 Memorial Drive, at the south end of Veterans Memorial Park.

The three-hour, all-you-can-eat event starts at 5 p.m. and is the service club’s major annual fundraising effort, with proceeds benefiting the Kiwanis’ high school scholarship program. The program awards $500 scholarships to a pair of graduating high school students for their continuing education, Hollister Kiwanis Club President Jim Hart said.

“We’d like to give out more if we could,” Hart said. “Along with academic achievement, we recognize a student’s service to the school and to the community.”

Tickets for the dinner are $7 for adults and $3.50 for children 12 and under and are available from Kiwanis members or at the door. Dinner includes all the pasta you can eat with homemade sauce, green salad, bread and dessert.

“Everyone is encouraged to come if they want to eat or just to help,” Hart said.

Take-out service will be available. For more information, call 637-9466 or 637-4352.
