At the county board of supervisors meeting today, County Counsel Dennis LeClere was presented a certificate of recognition for his two and a half years of service to the county, as he is retiring.

“He’s ready and he’s been a great asset,” County Administrative Officer Susan Thompson said. “He’s leaving at the top of his game, and we’ll miss him.”

In closed session of today’s 9 a.m. meeting at the County Administration Building, county administration official Rich Inman was set to make a recommendation to appoint Barbara Thompson as acting county counsel. The county is also considering contracting with Neher and Associates to find a replacement for LeClere, as well as a public works administrator.
