I can’t stress enough the concept of letting the ball get in the
way of the swing and not letting it be at the end of the swing.
This principle applies to putting, chipping and full swings. Try
to visualize a clock pendulum and its tempo.
I can’t stress enough the concept of letting the ball get in the way of the swing and not letting it be at the end of the swing.

This principle applies to putting, chipping and full swings. Try to visualize a clock pendulum and its tempo.

It swings equal distance from one side to the other. If the ball was at the bottom of the arc, the pendulum would just hit the ball on its way by.

The golf swing should feel the same way. Just let the club strike the ball on its way into the follow through.

If the ball doesn’t go straight, then we have to look at grip adjustment and timing. First though, you have to get the path and tempo of the swing correct. For more help, see your local PGA or LPGA professional.
