First and foremost, I want to thank the citizens who continue to give feedback and are concerned about our city. It’s greatly appreciated and I am willing to try my best to help in any way I can.
There is a big problem with the city officials and them turning their heads on important things happening in our city. Also, there is a lot of favoritism, which is not right. When I went to the meetings, which anyone watching could see for themselves, there was a lot of favor towards one person who suggests things, and has concerns. They treat him properly and answer all his questions, but when I have a question or concern, they try to shut me out and shut me up. That is not very professional.
I have questioned a lot of things; especially the $3 million for the solar treatment plant in the June 1 meeting, I knew this in 2011, a question with no answer again. This was put in place by Councilman Victor Gomez in 2010. It was at the time he was mayor. In my opinion, this is an example of bad decisions our leaders make. Pauline Valdivia also made a bad decision in 2013 when she hired Santa Cruz, to do the 911 dispatch, which we pay 70,000 dollars a month. We should be doing this ourselves, to get the revenue for our city. Another bad contract is with the animal control of San Jose. Why are we not doing it ourselves? Morgan Hill Gridlock, is street sweeping our streets. Why are all these out of town people doing the work for us, and making all the money. These are costly things with some contracts that cannot be broken. You will spend more money breaking contracts and hiring consultants. Let’s just think before we make large decisions like this, and citizens think before you vote.
On another note, I have been receiving lots of compliments on how young I look; it’s hard to believe I will be 50 yrs old this year. Some people say I look 28, 30. It makes me feel good, because I worked hard and still work hard. I lost weight and try to maintain my weight. I really want to continue to help the people in town and if anyone is struggling with losing weight, I encourage you to contact me and I will help you out with all my tips and things I did to get where I am at now. I care for the people and want everyone to know that anyone can get healthy. If you put your mind to it, you can do it. I stick by that quote because it is true.
