Freedom of Speech: “I am proud and thankful that we have good police officers, sheriffs, and CHPs here in our city.” Our Police Department received an award tonight for protecting our city. (To the columnist, please do not re-word my letter; I really do not appreciate it. Thank you.)
In the city council meeting tonight 4/1/13 I was waiting for them to talk about the oversight committee, that they are supposed to implement. When I talked to the city clerk over the phone, I told her I would like to be a part of it and I want to make sure that the people of the city can also be a part of it as well. But it has not happen. That is one thing that I have seen, they say they are going to do it but they don’t, The overlay project that they said there going to do will cost more once they do it. They are not saying what the name of the people who are doing the work. You have to be on the same page as the people so they know where there tax payer’s money is being spent. Where’s all the money to do the roads? The last time they did work was 1999. They receive transportation money every year. We need to do things in a better order, like a check book we have to balance it. So the city can have a better view, and the community should have a say so. We need to stop overspending and maintain the spending. By watching the meeting, it seems like there out of touch. They think it is good and makes sense, but not common sense. Just like they want to spend 5,200 dollars quarterly but not put their names on the newsletter. First yes then no. the mayor and city council have to take responsibility including the people who are in charge of our city. Why can’t they write it themselves, every member be a part of it and be up front to the people. They make mistakes and they don’t want to take responsibility it’s called being a focused leader. One thing my dad always taught me “YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR”. That’s 20,000 dollars a year that’s not fair to the people, the tax payer’s. Let the people know what’s going on and get the resources for the people. And take action! Show what they can do as a politic ton and a public servant.
I was homeless before once in my life, and I know how it feels to have nowhere to go, but you have to grow up and take responsibility as a person. We our cheating our self’s out. We should take charge of our own garbage but we don’t, and create revenue. We need to show better communication. But, we are failing as a city. Another thing it is a joke, when you talk about the city planning development “is over we don’t have it anymore”. For a person; to say that and use it for an excuse to divert the meeting? As a scare tactic it is not working. We need a better formula that will work. We have to use better judgment of what we do in the city. We need better qualifying people in our city, make sure they earn their position. Focus on business management, and have business come to the city. Maintain leadership and build up the community, I have ran multi companies, I have knowledge ability and I am head strong. Being disabled I still know what I am doing and so should they. Everyone thank you for the emails and feedback I really appreciate it. Feel free to keep emailing me at [email protected] Thank you.
