85.
Mary Helen Harbaugh, born April 10, 1919 in Hollister to Peter and Verna Daly, died August 22, 2004 in Santa Cruz at the age 85.

Mary spent her entire life in and near San Benito and Santa Cruz counties, working in the Hollister Unified School District for over 20 years. She was an active member of the Native Daughters of the Golden West, and the Manzanita Parlor located in Grass Valley.

Mary was predeceased by her husband of 50 years Raymond Lester. She leaves her son Gary and his wife Marianne. She is the devoted grandmother of Scott Edward, Mitchell Aron, Frank Raymond and Dawn Shannon; and great grandmother of Mia and Kailee.

The family wished to express great appreciation to Brommer Manor for all the wonderful care and assistance shown to Mary and her family throughout the past three and a half years.

Visitation will be held Friday, Aug. 27 beginning noon with a vigil service scheduled for 7pm. Funeral services will be on Saturday, Aug. 28 at 10am. Both the vigil and funeral services will be held at Oak Hill Funeral Home’s Chapel of Roses at 300 Curtner Ave., San Jose. Burial will follow services at Oak Hill Memorial Park.
