Mary (Kelly) Lukko (95) of Morgan Hill, CA died Sunday Oct 4, 2009 in Gilroy, CA. She was the wife of the late John R. Lukko.
Born in Moosejaw, Saskatchewan, Canada. Daughter of James and Mary Ellen Kelly, she graduated from St. Vincent’s School of Nursing, Worcester, MA and Simmonds College, Boston, MA. Mary was a Registered Nurse.
Growing up, Mary lived in Washington, Oregon, Montana, Florida, California and Massachusetts. She married husband John in Los Angeles, CA and raised a family in Upton, MA, Norwood, MA and Cranford, NJ. She had been a resident of Morgan Hill for 36 years.
Wherever Mary lived, she was very active in local social organizations that included St. Catherine’s Church, Morgan Hill Historical Society, Women in Touch, Flowers Lovers, AARP and others.
Mary is survived by three sons, John in MD, Thomas in Gilroy, CA, James in NJ and one daughter, sister Mary Edel in Finland. She is also survived by two brothers, Robert Kelly in GA and Richard Kelly in MA, many grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be at Johnson Funeral Home in Morgan Hill, CA on Thur., Oct. 7, 2009, from 4:00-8:00 P.M. with a Vigil Service to commence at 7:00 P.M. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Oct. 9, 2009, at St. Catherine Parish in Morgan Hill, CA at 10:00 A.M. Interment will be private.
