27 Dresses – Jane (Katherine Heigl) really is a plain girl. She has a secret crush on her boss and keeps it to herself when her glamorous younger sister (Malin Akerman) shows up to sweep him off his feet. The fun starts when a bridal reporter (James Marsden) discovers how many times Jane has been a bridesmaid and pitches a story on her. On DVD and Blu-ray.
The Diving Bell and the Butterfly – Jean-Dominique Bauby (Mathieu Amalric) suffers a stroke and loses the ability to communicated excpet throguh movie his left eye. The real-life magazine editor used the movement to spell out words and eventually with the help of a stenographer (Anne Consigny) and his speech therapist (Marie-Josee Croze).
The Golden Compass – Based on a children’s fantasy trilogy, Lyra (Dakota Blue) journeys to the north when her best friend goes missing. She encounters Mrs. Coulter (Nicole Kidman) on her journey to find where the disappearing children have gone. The fantastical part of the movie comes with talking ice bears, and daemons, animal spirits that follow around each person and play the part of their conscience. On DVD and Blu-ray.
