A wrong move turned fatal for a motorcyclist traveling southbound on U.S. 101 near Masten Avenue Sunday evening.

A 41-year-old Yucaipa man, riding a 2006 Harley Davidson motorcycle lost control after making an unsafe left turn about 9:45 p.m. He crashed into the eastside curb on the highway then struck a sign post on the right shoulder of southbound U.S. 101. The man was ejected from the Harley and suffered fatal head injuries. Both the motorcycle and the vehicle came to a rest, blocking the roadway in the third lane of the highway.

The man has not yet been identified.
