Hollister American and National could meet in semifinals
The Hollister National 11-year-old All-Star “B” team defeated Soledad 11-1 at Atlantic Park Thursday night. The victory moves Hollister to the semifinal Sunday, where they could face the Hollister American team

Soledad scored its only run in the first inning – an unearned run. After that Rolando Robles shut down Soledad for three innings, and Adrian Casarez finished it off in the fourth, and final, inning. They combined to throw a one-hitter.

Hollister answered right back in the first with a run. Tanner Lomanto was hit by a pitch, stole second and advanced to third on a passed ball. An error by the shortstop allowed him to score.

Hollister scored five runs in the second inning. Mike Martinez led off with a walk and was brought in with a triple from Greg Bayer. Then Robles walked and was brought in by a triple from Lomanto.

Casarez, who was 2-for-3 with a pair of doubles, brought in another run.

Hollister added four runs in the third inning to make it 10-0. And in the fourth inning, Stewart Patri ended the game with an RBI single.
