the Crimson Crusader if the city was planning to put speed bumps on

Our first Red Phone caller of the week, a Hollister woman, asked the Crimson Crusader if the city was planning to put speed bumps on Vine Street in Hollister. The speed bumps recently were removed during a road project, our caller said.
The Crimson Crusader called Hollister Associate Civil Engineer David Rubcic to get the answer. He said the speed bumps were reinstalled Monday. However, after some complaints that the speed bumps were too high, Rubcic said he would be out to inspect them Tuesday. The speed bumps installed this week may seem slightly taller because they are designed differently than the previous ones, Rubcic said.
Cleaning Up the County
Our next matter of the week came from a faithful and friendly Red Phone caller who wanted to thank the Crimson Crusader for getting something done about a blighted building in the Ridgemark area. Our caller said the place was cleaned up beautifully this week.
The credit for the work goes to San Benito County Code Enforcement Officer Stacey Watson. The Crimson Crusader always strives to help, dearest caller, so please continue to bring your problems to the Crusader. Working together, we can make San Benito County a better place.
Where’s My TV Guide?
Our next Red Phone caller, a Hollister woman, asked the Crimson Crusader to find out what happened to her TV guide. The TV guide normally appears in the Hollister Free Lance every week; however, in order to better serve our readers, it will now be printed in a slightly different format.
SelectTV listings will not appear June 16 in the Free Lance. The listings will run in the new Alternate 101 section, which will be included in the Free Lance every weekend beginning June 22.
