Tasso’s Old House celebrates 20 years
Tasso and Maria Perakis celebrated 20 years in Gilroy Nov. 24, 2013, and to commemorate it, they snipped the red ribbon. Joining them were friends and neighbors from around the community, including Mayor Don Gage. Tasso's Old House Restaurant features American, Italian and Greek cuisine; prime rib, lobster, steaks, chops, pasta and fresh seafood, and is a local favorite on the corner of First and Hanna streets. Hollister farmers market starts next week
The Downtown Hollister Farmers Market will open for the season on May 2, from 3 to 7 p.m., on Fifth Street. The market will be open Wednesdays through Sept. 26. Residents can again expect to find many vendors selling locally grown produce as well as a mix of other items.
