Water district calls for voluntary conservation

The San Benito County Water District on Tuesday voted unanimously to issue a resolution declaring an emergency water shortage condition in the county and impose a fee for water overuse.

The ranger explained marine mammal organizations don't rescue these animals, as heartbreaking as the situation is. Instead, their mission is to rescue those creatures harmed due to human causes, such as caught in fishing nets and choked by plastic six-pack rings.

Cannella aims to help homeowners with restructured mortgages

Hollister police are looking for a suspect in a residential burglary in the area of Glenview Drive and Hilltop Road.

Couple suspected of possessing meth within reach of children

Police on Monday arrested a Hollister couple suspected of possessing methamphetamine and other drugs that had been accessible to children in their home, according to a statement from the Hollister Police Department.
