Hazel Hawkins Memorial Hospital, with the help of the chamber of commerce, held a ribbon cutting Thursday for the new Women's Center. There were several speeches, tours, and food and refreshments for the invitation-only visitors. There will be a separate open house for the public from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the Women's Center.

Carjacking near Aromas spurs police pursuit; suspect gets away
