Pacific West Christian Academy, which has three campuses in Gilroy, has been accredited for its kindergarten through eighth-grade programs. This is the first accreditation that the Western Association of Schools and Colleges accrediting body has awarded to PWCA.

This accreditation decision represents the highest level of accreditation that can be awarded to a school and shows the organization’s substantial conformance to the WASC standards, according to a press release from Pacific West. An organization receiving accreditation has put itself through a rigorous peer review process. It has demonstrated to a team of surveyors during an on-site visit its commitment to offering programs and services that are measurable, accountable, and of the highest quality.

Pacific West Christian Academy is a nonprofit, preschool through junior high, Christian school with three campuses on Mantelli Drive and Kelton Drive in Gilroy. It has been providing Christian education in Southern Santa Clara and San Benito Counties since 1995 when the Academy opened.

The Accrediting Commission for Schools, Western Association of Schools and Colleges (ACS WASC) is one of six regional accrediting associations in the United States.
