Justin Blankenship, seventh grade second honors

Nicholas Jon Van Dyke of Gilroy achieved Dean’s List status at The Citadel, the military college of South Carolina, for the spring semester of the 2002-03 academic year.

Dean’s List recognition is geven to those cadets registered for 12 or more semester hours whose grade point ration is 3.2 or higher with no grade below a C for the previous semester’s work.

Van Dyke is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Van Dyke.

Stacey K. Anderson of Gilroy accepted membership in The National Society of Collegiate Scholars and will be honored during a campus ceremony this fall at California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo.

The NSCS is a highly selective, national, non-profit honors organization. Founded in 1994, NSCS recognizes first- and second-year undergraduate students who excel academically.

The Sciety was established on the principle that with scholarship comes a responsibility to develop leadership and a duty to perform service.

Jill L. Trekell of Gilroy was named to the honor roll at Oregon State University in Corvallis, Ore.

Trekell is a junior business administration major and earned a grade-point averge over 3.5.
