Dear Editor:
Every year I look forward to the 4-H Pancake Breakfast. It’s fun to see the 4-Hers in action, visit with folks I rarely see, and eat, of course. Last Sunday, I went early and was excited as usual.
However, I was horrified when I entered the building to be accosted by people wanting me to sign a petition.
That was most inappropriate. A youth event is not the place for political statements.
I highly resent this action and sincerely hope the 4-H leadership of this county realizes that many people in the community consider such activity unsuitable and improper.
