A pickup truck rolled and landed on its top next to a farm field off Fairview Road on Tuesday morning in a two-vehicle accident resulting in minor injuries for one driver, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The accident happened around 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the intersection of Fairview and Santa Ana Valley roads just outside of Hollister.

The driver of an Ford F-150 truck was turning left from Santa Ana Valley Road onto Fairview Road at the stop-sign intersection. The vehicle collided with a northbound Toyota pickup truck on Fairview Road, causing the Toyota to spin and eventually land on its top – about 200 feet north of the intersection – while resting partly over barbed-wire fencing that separates a farm field and the road.

The Toyota driver sustained minor injuries and was transported by ambulance shortly before 11 a.m. to Hazel Hawkins Memorial Hospital, according to the CHP. The driver of the Ford was uninjured, and there were no other people involved in the wreck.
