Hollister police officers arrested a 17-year old male on Saturday, October 21 on charges of driving under drug influence, possession of marijuana for sale and transportation of marijuana.

On October 20 around 11:58 p.m., officers with the Hollister Police Department responded to a report of a vehicle collision that had just occurred on the 1400 block of Rancho Drive. A car had collided into several parked vehicles in the area.

Officers arrived on scene minutes later and located the male juvenile driver sitting inside the car which had been involved in the collision.

Officer Anderson began an investigation which resulted in the arrest of the juvenile for driving under drug influence.

While conducting the investigation, officers recovered numerous ounces of cannabis along with concentrated cannabis wax. Additional evidence was discovered which was indicative of someone selling cannabis.

Officers booked the juvenile into the San Benito County Juvenile Hall for driving under the influence of drugs, driving without a license, possession of marijuana for sale by a minor and transportation of over an ounce of marijuana by a minor.
