Burglary

A residence was entered between 5pm June 21 and 1:30pm Tuesday in the 1100 block of San Benito Street in Hollister, police said. Police do not know how the home was entered, but a computer worth $1,700 was taken. There are no suspects.

Domestic violence

A 21-year-old Hollister man was arrested by the Hollister Police Department on suspicion of domestic violence and false imprisonment, both felonies, after responding to a disturbance call at 7am Monday, police said. A woman had been slapped, pushed and not allowed to leave a home between 10pm Sunday and 7am Monday, police said.

Vandalism

A 27-year-old Hollister man was cited by police on suspicion of vandalism, a misdemeanor, for allowing his 7-year-old child to scratch the front end of a vehicle at 7:10pm Tuesday in the 1200 block of Rancho Drive in Hollister, police said.

False identification to a peace officer

A 40-year-old Hollister woman was arrested by police on suspicion of false identification to a peace officer, a misdemeanor, after officers responded to a call of people entering a building with code violations at 10:35pm Tuesday in the 1000 block of Victoria Avenue in Hollister, police said.

Driving under the influence

A 53-year-old Hollister man was arrested by the California Highway Patrol on suspicion of driving under the influence, a misdemeanor, after being stopped at 12:20am Tuesday at the intersection of Hawkins and Prospect streets in Hollister, according to the CHP.

A 22-year-old Hollister man was arrested by the California Highway Patrol on suspicion of driving under the influence, a misdemeanor, after being stopped at 2:46am Tuesday north of Shore Road on Highway 25, according to the CHP.
