Burglaries
A business was broken into between 8:30pm Thursday and 7:54am Friday in the 300 block of San Felipe Road in Hollister, the Hollister Police Department said. A credit card was taken and used at Quik Stop, police said. There are no suspects.
A storage locker was broken into at about 3:18pm Friday in the first block of Hawkins Street in Hollister, police said. Power tools worth $500 were taken, police said. There are no suspects.
A storage locker was broken into at about 1:52pm Saturday in the first block of Hawkins Street in Hollister, police said. Blankets worth $250 and 100 VHS tapes worth $1,000 were taken, police said. There are no suspects.
An apartment was broken into between 8am and 4pm Friday in the 1500 block of Gabilan Drive in Hollister, police said. Nothing was taken. There are no suspects.
Assault With a Deadly Weapon
A 12-year-old boy was shot in the leg with a BB gun at about 2:30pm Friday on Memorial Drive across from Veterans Memorial Park in Hollister, police said. The boy did not see who shot him, police said. There are no suspects.
Vehicle Theft
A 1997 brown Chevrolet S-10 pickup truck was stolen from the driveway of a home between 1:30am and 7:01am Sunday in the 900 block of Apricot Lane in Hollister, police said. There are no suspects.
Grand Theft
A children’s motorcycle amusement ride was stolen from a market between 9pm Saturday and 8:30am Sunday in the 1000 block of San Juan Road in Hollister, police said. The ride had been chained to the side of the market, police said. There are no suspects.
Arrests
Threats
Tom Nguyen, 46, of the 700 block of Lanini Drive in Hollister, was arrested by the San Benito County Sheriff’s Office on suspicion of making threats, a felony, at 3:33am Sunday at his home, deputies said. A woman in San Jose had received death threats Sunday, deputies said.
Petty Theft and Vandalism
Richard Turpin, 50, of Hollister, was arrested by the Hollister Police Department on suspicion of petty theft and vandalism, both misdemeanors, after police found a motor home plugged into an electrical outlet on the side of Semifab Inc. at 12:40pm Friday in the 300 block of Fallon Road in Hollister, police said.
Public Intoxication
Julio Cesar, 25, and Jesus Pantzi, 24, both of the 1000 block of Caputo Court in Hollister, were arrested by police on suspicion of public intoxication, a misdemeanor, after responding to a disturbance call at 4:45am Sunday in the 1000 block of Caputo Court, police said.
Under the Influence of Drugs
Michael Anthony Cockfield, 45, of the 1000 block of Caputo Court in Hollister, was arrested by police on suspicion of being under the influence of drugs, a misdemeanor, after being called at 2:36pm Sunday to Hazel Hawkins Memorial Hospital on Sunset Drive in Hollister, police said.
Driving Under the Influence
Brett Richard Frick, 37, of the 1500 block of Sunnyslope Road in Hollister, was arrested by police on suspicion of driving under the influence causing bodily injury and hit and run resulting in serious injury, both felonies, after a woman was rear-ended at 4:46pm Sunday at Sunset and Memorial drives in Hollister, police said.
All those named are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
