ARRESTS

Public intoxication, Gonzalez Drive

At 12:05 a.m. Monday, police officers responded to a peace disturbance in the 100 Block of Gonzalez Drive. They located a 40-year-old Hollister resident there who was intoxicated, unable to care for himself and had no one present to care for him. He was arrested and taken to the county jail.

Illegal possession of firearm, Suiter Street

A probation search conducted with the help of Hollister police Nov. 20 revealed unlawful possession of assault rifles in the 800 block of Suiter Street by an individual on probation. The rifles were disassembled, but are still illegal, according to police reports.

CRIMINAL REPORTS

Burglary, Maple Street

Police responded at 6:35 a.m. Monday to a report of a vehicle burglary in the 100 block of Maple Street. They took a report that a purse had been taken from the unlocked car that was parked at the post office. The purse contained cash, credit cards, and various personal items.

Theft, La Chateau Drive

Sometime between noon Saturday and 3:30 p.m. Sunday, a victim reported to police that his firearm was stolen from the 200 block of La Chateau Drive. The victim stated to police that he “believes brother has knowledge of the whereabouts of the firearm.”
