Shoplifting suspect

Hollister police have identified and arrested one of the shoplifting suspects recently caught on camera.
On Dec. 8, the Hollister Police Department released surveillance images of people involved with shoplifting crimes in Hollister. One image was of a man wearing dark clothing, a red jacket and a 49ers hat walking out of the Safeway Store on Tres Pinos Road.
He was identified as Aaron Gastelum, 37, from Hollister, according to the HPD. On Sunday, officers found Gastelum at his home and he was taken into custody without incident. Gastelum also had a pending felony arrest warrant for drugs and a prior burglary, according to the HPD statement.
He was booked at the San Benito County Jail on suspicion of the felony warrant and for the suspected shoplifting.
