The Hollister Police Department bought six black and white 2009 Ford Crown Victoria patrol cars purchased with grant money from the Supplemental Law Enforcement Services Fund.

Hollister police reported finding hazardous materials during a burglary response and warned residents to stay away in the following announcement:
On today’s date at approximately 6 p.m., the Hollister Police Department responded to a home in the 2300 Block of Glenview Drive on a report of a possible burglary. Upon arrival at the home, hazardous materials were located inside the home. The Hollister Fire Department was called and a evacuation of the immediate area has been initiated.
The investigation and the processing of the scene is on going. The scene is stabilized, there are no immediate dangers and the evacuation is a safety precaution. The Hollister Police Department would like to ask everyone to stay away from the area until further notice. Hazardous material experts are en route to remove the materials.
